Like so many musical groups, Cosmos People was first started by a couple of teenagers: keyboardist Xiaoyu and guitarist Akui. They founded the band in the summer after they graduated from a high school in Taipei. 

Since then, Cosmos People has grown with the addition of a bass player and influences as diverse as funk, disco and jazz. The indie band was nominated for Taiwan's Golden Melody Awards after releasing their third album, Ten Thousand Hours.
