The timing for CEET’s first solo show in China couldn’t be better: in honor of the year of the Rooster, his Chicanos (chickens) are already being heralded as an “comical, yet auspicious” ambassador for Jardin Orange. The title of this show gives a hint to the rule-breaking and unexpected changes you will see in these most recent pieces of work.

CEET is moving away from his traditionally “clean” and simple characters, which are easily recognised by their graphic 2D design. Instead, the Chicanos you know and love have been evolving into more ambitious, abstract forms. His latest canvases will force viewers to seek out the ‘impressions’ of the chickens (still reflected in their iconic colors and shapes) from different angles and perspectives.
