DJ

TAKU HIRAYAMA

After being in music for 20 years, Taku Hirayama still considers himself to be in the middle of his 'sound journey.' He started his DJ career in the club scene in Fukuoka, Japan, sometime in the late 90's, and is currently based in Hong Kong.

His appreciation for dance music comes through on his musical platform “Junktion” and the small homeground club OMA where he is music director. He also holds some residencies in various cities where he plays for countless hours.

His groove is dripping with a mix of techno, house, chill out, ambient and experimental music. Recently he's been more into more hypnotic, acid-y and stripped down minimal groove that lets you dance with your eyes closed.

His passion music made him invite selective international DJs and upcoming talents to Hong Kong. He also travels himself. From small dance floors to outdoor festivals, he has played in over 12 cities in Asia, Europe and Australia.

He's played with Axel Boman (Pampa), Chida (Ene), Christian Smith (Tronic), Christopher Rau (Smallville), Cro-Magnon (Jazzy Sport), Daniel Bell (DBX), Dave Clarke, Deepbass (Informa), DJ Cosmo (Bitches Brew), and many more...
