DJ

Too much

Too much consists of Chris Staub and Nick Gavin, a DJ duo from New Zealand based in Hong Kong. They come from very different music scenes back home but complement each other during performances.

They share a passion for heavy bass lines filled with plenty of wobs and all things wonky. The duo strive to provide a sound people may have not heard before in a genre that can only be described as bass house.

In their debut year they played events for Hush Up, including Secret Island Party, Secret Brunch Club, and Jeanette Slacks quarterly nights at Fly bar.

In Hong Kong’s underground scene they have played at Oma, Social room and Basement. Collaborators include Bunker Club, Bump, Rewind, Hummingbird and Utopia.

DANIEL POWER

In just a short space of time Daniel Power (London, UK) has become one of the most well known and respected DJs/promoters in southern China.

He is the music director and main resident DJ at Club Sector, and is the founder of two event brands focused on pushing the underground music scene in ChinaL Unchained for DnB and Detached for Techno. He was resident DJ at Bang Club, Shenzhen, for the last two years and is a regular DJ and promoter at Hangover in Guangzhou.

He has played in some of the best clubs around China including Oma, XXX, Basement in Hong Kong, The Shelter, The Mansion and Celia in Shanghai.

He has also supported/shared the decks with some big international artists including Dom & Roland (Metalheadz), dBridge (EXIT Records), Fabio (Radio 1), Arkaik (Dispatch Recordings), U-Brown (Virgin / Trojan) and Joe Nice (Gourmet Beats).

JUST BEE

“Even small bees pack a big sting” – and this is the truth for the up-and-coming Just Bee. Heavily inspired by labels such as Metalheadz, Exit Records, Critical, Soul:r and more, Just Bee loves mixing it up to create filthy concoctions guaranteed to make anyone buzz.

Having played at venues such as Oma, XXX, Basement and Social Room, Just Bee continues to sculpt the Hong Kong underground soundscape with a flick of her fingers, offering an irresistibly sweet addition to the scene.

BUDBALL

Ecstatic Bass Macau 樂極生Bass/香港 FTK

Having founded The Ecstatic Bass Crew in Macau with South China’s dubstep pioneer N1D, and as a core member of HK-based record lable FTK, this rude boy from Macau has been pushing all kinds of bass-driven music and sound system culture in different cities with his crew, switching at ease among reggae, dub, UK bass, grime, garage, and dubstep, and more. 'Heavy' could be used to describe the sets he delivers, which often feature dubplates from Macau’s finest producers such as Noise808, N1D and Faye.

He's shared the stage with Brother Culture, Mungo's Hi Fi, Charlie P, Dub Phzix, MC Strategy, Fracture, Chimpo, Joe Nice...the list goes on.

MC AJC

MC AJC started MCing back in the mid 90's at the height of the jungle, drum and bass explosion in the UK. He honed his skills over the mic on pirate radio stations as well as raves in and around London. He has MC'd over big name D&B artists like DJ SS and Dr S Gachet, to name a few, switching things up to suit the varying musical styles of drum, bass and breakbeat.

In recent years AJ was based in Australia, where he was MC at different breakbeat and D&B nights. He also performed at different festivals and clubs around the country. Now based in Hong Kong, he regularly MCs with the HK Drum and Bass collective Magnetic Soul & Unchained in Shenzhen, and has performed at XXX, OMA, Basement and most recently, Clockenflap.
