Da Wang Culture Highland desires to support and encourage cultural and artistic creative development in Shenzhen and China as a whole. Located just across the border from Hong Kong and amidst the rapid development of the urban environment of the city, Da Wang Culture Highland sits in the mountain park of a small village outside of the hustle and bustle and offers artists the opportunity to work in a beautiful spacious and natural environment. Da Wang Culture Highland hosts a year-round artist residency programme to support the creative and personal growth of emerging and established visual artists from China and abroad, and hopes to encourage a new kind of dialogue that provides an exchange platform between Chinese and foreign culture. While in residence all artists will share in a community of interaction, conceptual development and creative environment free from external distractions.
