Bar Rouge is back, people. And about time too. After months of tedious renovations, the famous Bund-side club is finally open again with some raunchy new artworks to boot.
These tables look ripe for an evening of staring at one's phone and playing dice!
Decked out with plush, bright red couches, a large portion of the outside area is dedicated to tables for high rollers. You're looking a the most expensive tables in the house right there (see above), starting at RMB12,000. Luckily however, the best views in the house are found closer to the bar at the back (see below). Hard to argue with a view like that.
The glamorous outdoor bar and river view tables.
Plenty of change is also afoot inside, with tasteful grey upholstery and a series risqué artworks featuring the befringed young nymph (18 year-old model Wang Yi) you may have seen on Bar Rouge's posters...
Does that face look familiar? Here she is again in the indoor VIP area with naught but a fan to protect her modesty.
Below: more casual tables newly installed next to the main bar.
The VVIP room for, uh, private parties.
A glamorous new look all round, as you can see. For those more interested in dancing however, the relatively small dancefloor is still relegated to the back of the club next to the DJ booth. We've heard some complaints that it's too small to host nights from big name acts, but on the other hand it offers a more intimate experience since you're literally dancing right next to the DJ booth.
Next up is superstar French DJ Brodinski. You can catch him there on May 1 for one night only, early bird tickets going from RMB230 (RMB300 on the door).
