It may be a few more months before the NFL season starts but American football action will be happening this week at Jinhui Stadium at the first China Sea Dragons Youth American Football Invitational. The squad will host the EAFL Falcons from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in what will be the Mainland's first international youth American football game.

The China Sea Dragons were Shanghai's first youth American football team to actively recruit local players and boast an Under -19 and Under -15 team. These squads will battle the Falcons over four games starting May 28 and capping off with a pair of games on Saturday, May 31.

This will be the latest first for the Sea Dragons who last year hosted China's first American football combine with American Football Without Borders. Members of the Super Bowl-winning Seattle Seahawks and the Carolina Panthers including All-Pro Steve Smith made the visit. Sea Dragons founder Memo Mata hopes this tournament will become an annual affair with more international participants in the future.

Event Schedule:

Wed, May 28: Sea Dragons U19 vs EAFL U19, 6.30-8pm.
Thu, May 29: Sea Dragons U15 vs EAFL U15, 6.30-8pm
Sat, May 31: Sea Dragons U15 vs EAFL U15, 2.30-5pm
Sat, May 31: Sea Dragons U19 vs EAFL U19, 5.30-8pm

// Free entry, Jinhui Stadium. More details here.
