During November, Sam Kuan, one of China’s leading bartenders and the co-founder of Reply Tapei, worked with drink brand Lyre's plus five alcohol brands – Select, Montenegro, Vecchia Tomagna and Buffalo Trace – to share these unique spirits with nine cities across China.
Spanning Shenzhen, Xiamen, Changsha, Beijing, Hangzhou, Nanjing, Chengdu, Wuhan and ending Shanghai, Sam shook up delicious drinks while educating guests about these spirits and their non-alcoholic counterpart offerings.
The event culminated at Café Gray Deluxe in The Middle Houseon December 7, combining Sam’s artistic creativity with Lyre’s emphasis on health and wellness.

About Sam Kuan
In 2014, Sam founded his first bar in Shanghai – Barules Cocktail Club – sharing his love for cocktail mixing with all of his guests while also participating in industry events to promote the development of China’s cocktail industry.
He quickly became a leading pioneer of the modern cocktail scene in China, influencing many other bartenders and winning numerous awards. In 2020, he returned to Taipei where he founded Taiwan’s first environmentally sustainable bars, Reply Taipei.
