Pistolera has got all your bases covered when it comes to tacos, Mexican eats and daily specials. But they are now offering oh-so-much more.
With a newly launched lineup of lunch selections, plus brunch with free flow drinks, we high-tailed it on over to see what it’s all about.
Every weekday from 11am-3pm, Pistolera is serving up 11 new worldwide offerings – from Vietnamese Pho to Pad Thai to Dandan Noodles to Malaysian Laksa to Hunan Style Fried Rice & Beef Skewers – the menu is sure to heed any and all craving calls.
Each lunch set includes the meal of your choosing, complimented by a soup of the day and one soft drink, coffee or tea.
Our list of favorites begins with a heaped to share bowl of coconut-curry Laksa (RMB88) broth, filled to the brim with rice noodles, shrimp, hard-boiled egg, grilled chicken, fried tofu, fish balls and bok choy.
Sliced beef, onion, and green and red chili peppers are sautéed together as the Iron Pan Black Pepper Beef (RMB78), smothered in a piquant black pepper sauce and served piping hot in a cast iron skillet. Stir in the daily side vegetable and some rice for a satisfyingly savory lunch.
Outside of lunch specials, other new menu offerings include the Pollo Boracho (RMB168) – succulent grilled chicken marinated with beer and house spices, served with grilled veggies, guacamole, lafa bread and molcajete salsa. One to share with the whole table.
This year’s winner of the Shanghai famous Bubba’s Chili Cookoff, the Tabasco’s Famous Chili (RMB80) is loaded with beans and brisket, topped with melted cheese and queso fresco, plus a side of addictingly spicy cheddar and jalapeño stuffed corn gorditas.
For those still hanging onto glimpses of summer, there’s the Shrimp Mango Ensalada (RMB85), laden with grilled shrimp and large chunks of ripe mango atop a bed of lettuce with other mixed seasonal vegetables.

On the drinks front, there’s no shortage of warming winter favorites. It is hard to top a warm mug of hot chocolate, but the furtive addition of mezcal, as the Mezcal Hot Chocolate (RMB65), makes it our go-to sipper of the season, morning, noon and night.
For those not so into the smoky booze, they also offer a Fireball Cinnamon Hot Chocolate (RMB60) that is arguably just as tasty.

Abstaining from the booze? The Warm Winter Citrus (RMB50) sees a heated glass of orange juice, elderflower syrup and rosemary, while the Hot Lavender Lemonade (RMB58) is a welcoming combination of lemon and butterfly pea tea.
For those feeling under the weather, we suggest the Body Warmer (RMB58) – an immunity boosting blend of ginger, lemon and honey.

All of these drinks, plus draft beer, wine, dry prosecco and set cocktails (think margaritas, bloody mary, Aperol spritz, sangria and mimosa), soft drinks, coffee and juice are now included in the brunch free flow, available every Saturday and Sunday from 11am-2pm for just RMB198.
