Visit your favorite Taiwanese night markets right here in Shanghai on Friday, January 8 at the Taipei All Day Food Popup at The Camel. From Taiwanese Beef Noodles (牛肉面) to Braised Pork Rice (卤肉饭), Kelvin Ip and Sohail Kalia will be serving up those classic street food eats from 8pm to late.
Taiwanese Beef Noodles, or niuroumian (牛肉面), are the epitome of comfort food – thick ropey noodles in a simmering broth with meaty chunks of beef that has been braising in its own juices for hours, creating a flavor profile of everything hearty, delicious and warming.

Braised Pork Rice, or luroufan (卤肉饭), is an equally comorting bowl of slowly braised minced pork, mushrooms, and aromatics – like ginger and garlic – served over rice. The meat's glaze forms into a sticky sauce from the mixture of rock sugar, soy sauce and vinegar, among other secret ingredients.
