This Friday and Saturday, October 30-31 from 7pm until midnight, Bord Bia (Irish Food Board) and Bar Gatsby are bringing you a free flow Irish oyster feast for just RMB98. That's right, five hours of unlimited oysters for under a hundred Yuan.
If that wasn't enough, you can pair the elegant aphrodisiacs with six distinct whiskey offerings ranging in price from RMB48-68 per glass (or soft drinks for RMB10).
The Irish oysters on offer are size 4 (50-70 grams each), making these elegant small bites ideal for tasting. Ireland is the second largest oyster producer in Europe, with sweet and fresh tasting teardrop-shaped, pearl white oysters currently in their peak season. The irish oysters come from Irish Sea, on the Eastern coastline of Ireland. The entire country has a coastline of 3,000 kilometers and a water area of 1,390 square kilometers that is rich in marine resources. The Irish government strictly protects the coastline from industrial pollution, allowing Irish oyster farmers to continue using traditional breeding methods so that the oysters can feed on plankton that grow naturally in the sea – making them all the more richer in protein, iodine, iron, selenium, copper and zinc.
Match these umami-rich morsels with unique Irish whiskeys and spirits that showcase the wide spectrum of flavors present in these small batch liquors. Choose from Glendalough Double Barrel Whiskey, Glendalough Wild Botanical Gin, Glendalough Potin, Kinahans KASC Whiskey, Teeling Small Batch Whiskey or Jameson. Or – even better – try all six!
Bar Gatsby is a cocktail bar that is helping to raise Dagu Lu's profile as a nightlife strip. Drinks are made with fresh ingredients and are very reasonably priced. Bonus: They've also got pool tables and a foosball table.
Spots are limited for this unbeatable deal though, so make sure to reserve a space by scanning the QR code or reserving through Dianping.
