If you know Shanghai like we know Shanghai, then you know we are in the 'picnic window' – before real summer hits and it becomes six showers a day weather. In other words, make the most of it while you can. And when it comes to packing a pic-a-nic basket Yogi Bear would be sure to swipe, ALDI has you covered, with high quality products at great value that will tantalise all taste buds.

Those generous Germans are offering so much that they had to split it up into three categories. Here we go!

Snacks

Snacks are one of the easiest things to pack for a picnic. They’re fun, convenient and, most importantly, tasty, which is why your picnic basket should be filled to the brim with them.

  • Sprinter’s Strawberry Crisps from are made from sweet and fresh strawberries from Jiangsu, which are then dried to give them a satisfying crunch.

  • Sprinters Nori Original seaweed strips from Fujian are baked for a delightful crunchy texture. It’s perfect for sharing; everyone will love the refreshing umami flavour!

  • MOSER ROTH 85% Dark Chocolate from Germany is made with premium cacao beans. This chocolate’s silky texture and rich taste will have you reaching for more.

  • Red Legend Beef Jerky Five Spice from Guizhou is fragrant and flavourful with a firm and chewy texture. Enjoy it with a beer.

Pastries

Take your afternoon tea outside by packing pastries in your picnic basket. ALDI has a wide range of baked goods that you can enjoy alongside coffee or tea. 

  • CHOCO BISTRO Premium White Chocolate & Cranberry Cookies from the Netherlands are made with high quality butter and flour and filled with dried cranberries and white chocolate chips for the ultimate sweet treat.

Drinks

Savour the sunshine with a glass of wine beer in hand. ALDI has a variety of red, white and sparkling wine from prestigious vineyards around the world, as well as craft beer brewed overseas and in China. Don’t forget to pack milk and juice for the little ones!

  • Claire Creek Moscato Sparkling Rosa from Australia is brewed with Muscat Gordo Blanco and Moscato Giallo grapes. The wine holds aromas of rose, strawberry and peach, as well as a hint of sweetness.

  • KARLSKRONE Hefeweissbier from Hangzhou is brewed the traditional German way. Its smooth texture carries a hint of banana and cloves.

  • KARLSKRONE Passion Fruit Lager from Hangzhou has notes of passion fruit and pineapple, giving the beer a tropical and refreshing character.

  • WESTACRE Milk Full Cream is UHT treated to ensure its safety, and directly imported directly from Australia to preserve its freshness.
