A consistent winner at the That's Shanghai Food and Drink Awards, Sichuan Citizen is turning 12 this weekend. No mean feat. No mean feat at all, especially given the past few months. It all started back in 2008 with spicy food and Basil Drop aplenty on Donhu Lu. Ah, the memories...

They then skipped across the former French Concession to Ferguson Lane, where they reopened on May 18, 2018 and named the Basil Bar in honor of their wildly popular drink. Don't worry, the spicy food is still a fixture too.

To celebrate the anniversary and show their appreciation to their guest for all the support over the past 12 years, they are offering a 12% discount across the board – food and drinks; lunch and dinner – for three days, Sunday, May 17 through Tuesday, May 19.

As if that wasn't enough, on Monday, May 18 every guest will get a free Basil Drop or a glass of Prosecco. Go on, go for the Basil Drop!
