Oct 26: F*ck That's Delicious @ The Cannery

The Cannery presents the last instalment of its Bloc party for the year:  F*ck that’s Delicious: Food Court Kings! The event brings together 15 of Shanghai’s hottest chefs food stands, where they present their takes on food court inspired grub. Only one food court monarch will reign supreme. Oct 27: Coconut Battle

Coconut culture has been entering China for the past five years, and the folks at gre3n want to ensure that everyone is aware of the versatility and health benefits of this gift from mother nature – the 'tree of life.' To raise awareness, they are bringing Shanghai's F&B community together for a competition rooted in healthy living and wellness. To this end, chefs and mixologists are competing to showcase their best coconut-based recipes.

Oct 28: Hairy Crab Feast

Ever wondered why Shanghai goes crab crazy two months out of the year? Find out why, and also discover the reasons Tang Dynasty poets immortalized these crabs in verse millennia ago with this hairy crab feast. This tour showcases this delicacy in a local, authentic setting. You'll walk through the streets of Shanghai's Old Town, an area that is currently disappearing lane by lane, and sample several classic hairy crab dishes, including wontons in hairy crab broth, crab roe lion's head meatballs and more. You’ll also learn the multi-step process to cracking open the crab, and discover the reason why you should pair it with plenty of huangjiu (Chinese brandy).

Oct 28-Nov 1: A Taste of Thailand
