Oct 24-25: Corey Henry & The Funk Apostles

Having mastered multiple instruments at a young age, Henry commands the stage while performing in cities and festivals around the world including Okeechobee, Electric Forest, North Sea Jazz, Love Supreme Festival and many more. Cory, a former Snarky Puppy member, is rising to the top as a solo artist with his first independent release entitled Art of Love garnering critical acclaim. The project opened doors to work with Lauryn Hill, Frank Ocean, J. Cole, Vulfpeck and many more.

Oct 24, 26-27: Moulin Dream Immersive Cabaret Theater

Moulin Rouge. The roaring '20s of old Shanghai. Dream Of The Red Chamber, Cao Xueqin’s masterpiece, one of China's four great classical novels. These are the swirling and smoky realms that inspire the one you will step into at The Pearl. Twenty-four cast members, spectacular dance numbers, classic and contemporary musical hits, and close-up interactive theater are all on hand to tease your senses.

Oct 25: Jaden Smith

Purveyor of strange tweets, proud owner of an intense grill, a partner in famed Just Water company, son of Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith. While we know all of these things, the artist known as Jaden Smith remains a mystery. He arrives in Arkham this weekend, with new album Erys (which featured collaborations with Tyler the Creator, ASAP Rocky and Kid Cudi) under his belt.

Oct 25: Shanghai Qiutian

Wild Records affiliates Shanghai Qiutian return to Shanghai, after a tour around Europe, taking to the stage at Yuyintang Park with fellow local indie bands Foster Parents and Nerve Passenger. Catch their moody, intricate guitar driven music this weekend.

Oct 26: We Lost the Sea

Australian instrumental post metal band We Lost the Sea arrive with new album Triumph & Disaster in tow. Described as a post apocalyptic tale of a mother and son’s last day on earth, the album is a love letter to the earth and a lamentation about the collapse of the environment. They take in an eight date tour of the country this month.

Oct 26: Yuyintang's 2019 Halloween Tribute Show

It's back again, boils and ghouls: The Halloween Tribute Show. This year they've got a stacked line-up of bands from four decades in styles ranging from metal to funk to indie to awesome! Local Shanghai rock musicians, including Nerve Passenger, Hitobashira, Hydraslug, Alpaca, Returns to Sender and more will be dressing up as and kicking out jams from Black Sabbath, The Cribs, Alice in Chains, David Bowie and Parliament/Funkadelic. The Mothership lands at Yuyintang Park for one night only, Saturday October 26. Don't miss this absurd concert! But wait, that's not all! At the Specters after-party a secret sixth tribute band will take the stage and perform live at 2am!
