With the weather cooling down and the scenery around Shanghai Disney Resort becoming even more beautiful, autumn is undoubtedly one of the best seasons to visit. Magical Halloween surprises are coming to Shanghai Disney Resort from now until November 3, including new entertainment shows, frightfully good food and beverages, and magical merchandise. The resort will also be celebrating the spookiest of seasons with its first ever late-night Halloween party on October 31, complete with fun party zones, new Disney villains and much, much more! This Halloween, guests are invited to unleash their wicked fun side at Shanghai Disney Resort with their family and friends!
Halloween magic has now spread to every corner of the resort, with pumpkin sculptures, colorful ribbons, beautiful seasonal flowers and leaves, and Disney Friends-shaped jack-o’-lanterns. Halloween is sure to be one of the most action packed events of the year and throughout this frightfully fun season, guests are encouraged to don their spookiest Halloween costumes and dress up as their favorite Disney characters.
Parties, Villains and Not-So-Scary Shows – A Fabulous Halloween Celebration
During the entire Halloween season, Donald’s Halloween Treat Cavalcade will wind along the parade route with Donald and Daisy Duck guiding the celebration to a spooky soundtrack. The spectacle will feature a series of villains, including the return of Maleficent (from Sleeping Beauty, Hades (from Hercules), Dr. Facilier (from The Princess and the Frog), and the Queen of Hearts (from Alice in Wonderland), as well as a number of new never-before-seen-in-Shanghai characters.
Once the sun sets, the Pepsi E-Stage in Tomorrowland will keep the party going with the This IS Halloween! Dance Party. The party is specially designed for young adults and will feature a DJ and a live host. What’s more, Jack Skellington and Sally, from Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas, will make several appearances, and guests will be invited to join in on the fun and show off their costumes as they party on!
For guests looking for a ghostly surprise, Treasure Cove will once again become the home of a crew of Ghost Pirates in A Trial of Darkness! While guests tiptoe through the haunted land, they will become immersed in a pirate’s world and may even encounter a few spooky surprises along the way.
Spooky musical fun can also be found in Disneytown at the Frightfully Fun Dance Party for young adults. Here, guests can enjoy enchanting lights and upbeat music while a host, Disney dancers and a live DJ help guests celebrate Halloween. Prepare to dress to impress, as guests will have the chance to show off their costumes on stage! Kids and their families are also invited to celebrate the classic Halloween tradition of trick-or-treating by joining the Trick-or-Treat Parade in Disneytown - so get ready for tasty treats and prepare for mischievous tricks!
This autumn, guests can also head to Adventure Isle, where moments from Disney Pixar’s Coco will come to life in Santa Cecilia (Miguel’s hometown). Beloved scenery and characters will once again offer colorful moments and songs perfect for the whole family to enjoy and guests may even get to meet Miguel, himself!
Trick-or-Treat Yourself with Halloween Merchandise
Guests can also take home the wicked trinkets this Halloween with a wide selection of themed merchandise. Mickey and his pals will enhance the mysteries of Halloween with classic black, orange and green outfits in the Halloween Mickey and Friends Collection, while the new and exclusive Halloween Duffy and Friends Collection is inspired by Halloween masquerade parties and includes new plush, plush keychains, headwear and more.
Tantalize Your Taste Buds with New Halloween Delicacies
The 2019 Halloween-themed food and beverage experience is sure to tantalize your taste buds like never before. Sweet delicacies are now being served at Sweetheart’s Confectionary, including Halloween Pumpkin Crispy Rice and Halloween Caramel Apple. Remy’s Patisserie is also offering a new Gelatoni Cheese Brownie for guests with a sweet-tooth to enjoy.
Guests are also invited to indulge in a swashbuckling theme and celebrate exotic flavors in Barbossa’s Bounty with the Halloween Chicken Leg with Thyme Sauce and Rice, or savor a Pork Spare Rib with Black Bean Sauce at Wandering Moon Restaurant. Special family meals like Mickey & Pals’ Beef with Rice Flour and Pumpkin and Halloween Gong Bao Chicken at Tribal Table is also available for those looking to celebrate together. The Royal Banquet Hall also immerses guests in a regal setting with a set menu featuring Donald Avocado and Prawn Salad, Roasted Beef Fillet Wrapped with Mushroom Duxelle and Puff Pastry and Truffle Sauce, and Bats Pumpkin Choux with Passion Fruit Candy.
Over at the Shanghai Disneyland Hotel, Lumière’s Kitchen’s Dinner Buffet is also offering a huge selection of seafood, cold cuts, soup, carved meat, western options, traditional Chinese, and tandoori food, accompanied by delicious desserts.
Halloween Day Spectacular!
This wicked fun month would not be complete without a spectacular celebration and everyone is invited to enjoy the Halloween Day Spectacular with their Halloween Day ticket! With the resort’s first-ever late night Halloween party on October 31 and a brand new fireworks show, this spooky season is sure to conclude with a bang.
If it’s magical surprises you’re after, look no further than Alice in Wonderland Maze Encounters, where Red Warriors will be wandering the Alice in Wonderland Maze and tea party hosts will help get the energetic party started.
The new and entertaining Halloween Villains Firework Show is also sure to cap off the day’s celebrations off in spooky style. Set to a modern and spooky Halloween backing track, the show will feature Disney Villains’ Castle projections, fire and, of course, plenty of fireworks!
For guests looking to party late into the witching hour, party zones will be popping up around the park until late, and select areas will be decked out in festive décor, photo locations and high-flying balloons. The parties will be brought back from the after-life with exciting music and Disney Villains eager to share their wicked fun side with everyone. Spooky surprises will also be on hand as new Disney Villains will be making special appearances, including Cruella de Vil (from One Hundred and One Dalmatians), Gaston (from Beauty and the Beast), Jafar (from Aladdin), Frollo (from The Hunchback of Notre Dame), Loki (from Avengers), and Lotso (from Toy Story 3). Guests who want to take the party up a notch will be able purchase alcohol near the five party zones.
Special Ticket Offers Bring Guests Closer to the Magic
From now until November 3, guests may purchase a Halloween Afternoon ticket. Tickets allow entry to Shanghai Disneyland from 4pm on any pre-selected date through November 3, with the exception of October 31. On Halloween, Shanghai Disney Resort will hold its first Halloween Party with extended park hours and enhanced in-park offerings to celebrate Halloween night with guests who purchase a special ticket.
