Sep 12: Wine Tasting – Tuscany in the Glass

After a hiatus, UVA is back with their wine tasting events. Next up, discover three varietals from Tuscany: Chianti Confini, Barco Reale and Chianti Classico. An Italian buffet featuring appetizers, pasta and pizza plus wines is available from 7.30-9.30pm for RMB148. After 9.30pm, try just the wines for RMB100.

Sep 13: Aperol Spritz Italo Disco Party

Bitter is hosting a night of Italo Disco tunes by DJ Saucy and DJ Mmq. What goes better with that than spritz and aperitivo? The answer is nothing, and Bitter's got a deal for RMB100 that includes two spritzes plus one plate of aperitivo snacks.

Sep 13-15: Mid-Autumn Crab Fest Brunch

Showcasing the ingredient of the season, Bird has put together a 'Crab Fest' brunch set, especially for Mid-Autumn Festival. The first dish is a fresh crab salad with fennel and green pea panna cotta. Follow that up with a creme fraiche-dotted spicy crab bouillabaisse and three-crab Benedict. Balance out that qi with a Shanghai Mule featuring huangjiu, bitters, lemon and ginger ale.

Sep 13-15: Mexican Independence Week Celebrations!

El Santo is celebrating Mexican Independence Day in a big way. If you don't know, this holiday commemorates the Priest Hildalgo-led revolt against the Spanish government. After 11 years, and the execution of Father Hildalgo, Mexico finally gained independence. Join the fiesta with great food and drink deals. The Colors of Mexico dance company will perform, followed by Grito de Dolores presented by a member of the Mexican Consulate.

Sep 14: Hands On Dumpling Delight

Sep 14: Mooncake Cooking Class & Tasting

Savory stuffings will include the classic Jiangnan pure, that hella trendy salted duck egg and bamboo with minced pork, while sweet will include red bean & cranberry, coconut & butter, passionfruit and lotus. To bring this ancient holiday into the modern world, you will be tasting the latest innovative mooncakes: Strictly Cookies’ limited edition Mookies. This mooncake-cookie hybrid brings together the best of both worlds in surprising flavor combinations (Chestnut and Sichuan Peppercorn, anyone?). The Sukhothai Shanghai welcomes Chef Rosarin Sriprathum from Michelin guide recommended Thai restaurant Celadon at The Sukhothai Bangkok to present her handpicked selections. Fifteen of her authentic recipes will be incorporated into URBAN Café’s menu to satisfy all the gourmands in Shanghai.
Celadon serves up an authentic palette of flavors and spices with meticulous presentations as only a Thai would know. Chef Rosarin tries to keep the traditional recipes and maintains the standard of each dish's original taste. She executes authentic Thai flavors whilst blending avant-garde culinary techniques into her dishes, giving diners an unforgettable gourmet journey.
