Jun 27: The Pearl’s Got Talent

The last edition of The Pearl’s talent show proved to be an awesome success, with burlesque dancers, a Michael Jackson impressionist, a pole dancer and many more. Head to The Pearl on the last Thursday of every month to see some of Shanghai’s most talented performers compete for RMB1,000.

Jun 28: The Very Hungry Caterpillar

Bring the young ones along to this very special family-friendly show about the hungriest caterpillar and you won’t be disappointed. The classic of kids’ literature is brought to life through fantastic performances by the cast.

Jun 28: Cotton Club Blues Night

The Pearl welcome the fantastic blues band, The Royal Hombres, who held court at the Cotton Club for 19 years. Their music blends together blues, jazz, funk and much more. They will be joined for an opening set by special guest David Stone.

Jun 28 & 29: The Outkast Show

Shake's six-piece band throws a party dedicated to the greatest hip hop duo of all time. OutKast rode in on a technicolor Cadillac from the future and changed music forever, with a vision unlike any rappers before or after. Big Boi and André 3000 mixed the spirit of funk with hip hop, techno, jazz, dub, and ATLien style, put southern rap on the map, and took hip hop to outer space and the top of the pop charts.

Jun 29: Nonsense Machines

Mayka Denki brings his fun musical show to Shanghai this month, as he makes use of robots and various contraptions to entertain audiences of all ages. This peculiar approach to stage performance and music will have you on the edge of your seat, aghast, bewildered and in fits of laughter. Don’t miss out.

Jun 29: Yeti Dis:ko presents: City Rooftop Party

Yeti Dis:ko is bringing in summer with a City Rooftop Party on top of The Shanghai Edition hotel. For the first time, Yeti Dis:ko will open up the rooftop garden during early afternoon to the Sounds of Tropical Cosmic Disco. Disco Deviance's Pete Herbert alongside Yeti Dis:ko founder Allan Marshall will perform during the day, with support from Donn.
