Jun 19: Eliane Amherd and Her Band

Singer, guitarist and songwriter Eliane Amherd is a true cosmopolitan artist: Born in Switzerland, she lives in New York, and it is that city’s savvy multicultural energy that most influences the unique sound of her original compositions: jazzy, groovy and rooted in African, Brazilian and Latin music. Inventive, enchanted yet earthy.

Jun 20: Ana Caram Trio

On her most recent release with Chesky Recods, Blue Bossa, Ana Caram celebrates the brilliant marriage between Brazilian music and American jazz. Blue Bossa features Ana interpreting classic, unforgettable songs from Antonio Carlos Jobim, Ivan Lins, Baden Powell and many others in her inimitable style.

Having just released their instrumental album, Multiple, earlier this year, the Japanese progressive rock band is now on tour and will be making a pit-stop in Shanghai for an explosive live show. The group is known for their emotional, yet complex sound, and are sure to be a treat.

[Alexandros], said to be one of the hottest rock bands in Japan, are bringing their Sleepless in China Tour to Shanghai. The group has most definitely made a name for themselves, having toured with some of this generation’s most famous rock bands, like Muse and Kasabian.

The Chinese singer-songwriter will be playing a live show at Yuyintang this Saturday, where you can enjoy her unique sound and distinctive voice. While some influences of pop and electronic can be heard in her music, there isn't a specific genre to define her sound.
