Ever wonder what would happen if a top DJ directed a full concert with a live band. Well wonder no more! SMTH, Music Director of ASL Shanghai, is doing just that using SHAKE's six-piece band The Shanghai Sheiks and Courtney Knott. Expect wild tempo changes, vocals swapped over instrumentals, extended breaks, medleys and dance-floor madness. Expect a live blend of contemporary hip hop and r&b and classic funk and soul. Expect that, well, anything can happen! Except DJing. There will be no actual DJing.
May 3-4, 10.30pm, RMB100. Shake, see event listing.
