Hailing from the Bay Area (that’s San Francisco for those that didn’t know), Espinosa’s been making a name for himself since the early age of 14. Wowza. He most recently won the Red Bull Music 3Style World Champoin, so they’re bringin’ him here to play his famous blend of hip hop, pop, dance and a crazy mess of other genres.

The most stylish rapper in the game is performing in Shanghai for what is one of STD’s biggest bookings ever. Known for his swaggering delivery and confident persona, Pretty Flacko is certain to make this night one to remember.

Do you like funk? I mean, really, who doesn’t. Seriously, it’s great. As a genre. Hard to contest. Which is why DJs Cavia and Allan Marshall are on our list for this week’s bestest stuff to do. They'll be throwin’ in some punk and soul too (which are also great genres).

Apr 12-13: Heineken F1 Festival

To celebrate all the fast cars doing the fast things a lot of times, F1 and Heineken have teamed up to bring you two free days of music over in Xintiandi. Martin Garrix is gonna be there, Rap of China’s Wilber Pan'll do a set - it’s looking pretty promising. Tickets are first come first serve through the Heineken WeChat account, so click on through if you want to snag ’em.

Apr 13: Two Year Anniversarie at Le Café des Stagiaires

It’s their party and you can cry if you want to, because really, is a night in Found 158 really a thing unless it includes a fight and/or tears? Get an early start with these very solid DJs, and maybe you can get out before it gets too real. Or stay and watch the world crumble around you. It’s your Saturday, live it well.

Record Store Day is here! Well, nearly. But it’s this weekend and crew of China’s vinyl people are steppin’ up for sets at Dada to celebrate the medium. We’ve got Qzen who has played at Tressor in Berlin, Endy from our own Daily Vinyl, Lord Glibby from Temple of Boom bringin’ the funk and Uptown’s very own Sacco. Should be a good time.

Apr 13: Riddim n Vibe

Shanghai’s drum and bass collective has found a new home, at least this time around, at Lofas! Exciting! Showcasing local and international DJs, they’re bringing the same sound to a different spot, switching up the vibe and giving the project a whole new feel. Should be fun.

Apr 14: Alter Anniversary Party

They’ve been at it for a year now, throwin’ all those techno, house and rooftop parties just for you. To celebrate, they’re having another all-day dance and drink kind of throwdown at POP with DJ John Talbot. He’s toured with The XX and gotten ups from Pitchfork and Resident Advisor, making him another well-backed act on this weekend.
