Spring is here, which means it's the perfect time for an outing with your kids and loved ones. If you haven't made up your mind about where to go next, Dragon Adventures have you covered with these eight action-packed trips for an escape from the city.

April 12-14: Nice Resorts & Awesome Hiking (Great Deal!)

Located just north of Huangshan (Yellow Mountain), Hui Hang Ancient Road is a 15km hiking trail belonging to Qingliang Mountain National Park. The route begins at Fuling Town (Jixi County, Anhui Province) and ends at Maxiao Village (Linan City, Zhejiang Province). Hui Hang Ancient Road is an old trade route, which historically served as an important road for merchants traveling between Huizhou and Hangzhou. Scholars believe this ancient road was first trodden as early as the Tang Dynasty (618-907 AD), and it represents an important part of China’s cultural history.

Since hiking and mountain walking are popular activities in China, most of the path has been reconstructed with stone steps, making the climb much more manageable — even for families with kids. At the same time, you can immerse yourself in the timeless scenery of the mountains as you follow in the footsteps of tea merchants and traders down this historical ancient trail.

April 12-17 & 19-21: Yellow Mountain (Only a Few Spots Left!)

Yellow Mountain, also known as Huangshan, is a UNESCO World Heritage site located in Anhui Province and an absolute must-see destination when staying in China. Often featured in traditional Chinese paintings and literature, the mountain has served as a major source of inspiration for Chinese artists of all types for hundreds of years. The stunning scenery of Huangshan was also said to be a muse for the incredible 2009 blockbuster Avatar. There are still a few spots left to book Dragon Adventures' Huangshan trips in April, so hurry and book your tour now!

April 19-21: ATV Off-Roading & Spring Cherry Blossom Hiking

Join Dragon Adventures for an adventurous weekend away from the hustle and bustle of the city and be surrounded by mountains, rivers, trees and fresh air. Hike in the green forest for an oxygen boost, or wander through fields, green tea gardens and spring blossoms. Spend two nights in a cozy resort at Siming Mountain in Yuyao. Most importantly, you'll get to enjoy a fun and unforgettable ATV off-roading ride!

April 20-21: Explore the Best of Nanjing

Nanjing is a must-visit city for Chinese history enthusiasts. Located along the Yangtze River, the city historically known as 'Nanking' boasts a storied heritage, having served as the capital for six dynasties. Several prehistoric sites have been discovered in and around Nanjing, which is believed to have been inhabited for at least 5,000 years. On this tour, you'll be able to explore the city's famed historical attractions, including important sites and relics from the Ming Dynasty (AD 1368-1644).

April 30-May 3: Stunning Yellow Mountain Trip

Can't make it to Dragon Adventures' Huangshan tour in early April? Well then you're in luck, because they'll be hosting another Yellow Mountain adventure during the May Day holiday period. Discover the wonders of Huangshan, including granite peaks, pine trees and hot springs. Take in magnificent views of the clouds from above, and don't forget to snap a sunset photo!

April 30-May 4: Avatar Mountain & Glass Bridge Tour

Situated in the northern mountain ranges of Hunan, the remote Zhangjiajie National Forest was previously known only to the Tujia, Miao and Bai minority groups for centuries. Today, with its towering karst spires, rich brown earth and lush forests, Zhangjiajie has become the icon of China’s striking landscapes. The park is a dramatic landscape of deep, forested canyons and enormous, isolated limestone peaks, each growing their own miniature ecosystems akin to bonsai forests. You may also see snowy peaks and spires peeking through the fog in the early morning.

May 1-4: Four-Day Adventure Tour to Inner Mongolia

Come along for the adventure of a lifetime in Inner Mongolia. This trip is a great opportunity to explore the grand prairie and desert where Genghis Khan's empire rose from. Expect an assortment of activities, including horse riding, lamb tasting and karting. You may even get to ride a camel! This unique experience will definitely leave you with precious memories.

May 1-5: Explore Amazing Guilin & Yangshuo with This Incredible Deal

With its iconic karst peaks and stunning topography, Guilin is one of China's ten major scenic spots. The certified National AAAAA tourist attraction has become world-renowned for its unique scenery and landscape. Explore this essential destination with Dragon Adventures during the May Day holiday.
