Mar 28: Meet, Masterclass & Cocktails with Seedlip Founder Ben Branson

Meet Seedlip, the world’s first distilled non-alcoholic spirit, at Bull & Claw’s French Concession villa. Ben Branson, founder of Seedlip, will be at an intimate pop-up event featuring a custom cocktail menu and masterclass led by three mixology masters: Seedlip brand ambassador for Asia, Sebastian Robinson; The Zuk Bar’s Vincenzo Pagliara and Sober Company’s Shingo. As you learn to make three signature cocktails, nibble on paired canapes courtesy of Bull & Claw’s executive chef, Hardeep Somal.

Mar 28, 30: Healthy Chinese Cooking

Looking to test your hand at Chinse cuisine? Chef Shiyin's twice-weekly culinary classes are the perfectly opportunity to sharpen your skills, combining traditional Chinese cookery with modern nutrition. The lessons provide an introduction to local ingredients, good quality foods and natural spices. There are different menus each week, so scan the QR code for the full schedule.

Mar 28: Roast Dinner Buffet

If you love a good deal and large portions, The Blind Pig is the place for you. Every last Thursday of the month, starting from March 28, rolled pork belly roast, roast beef, salads, sides, snacks and desserts are on offer from 6-9pm. That neverending spread of food calls for a drink deal, so it's a good thing they'll have your choice of three Beast of the East craft beers, mixers with spirits and wine for only RMB100. Seats are limited so be sure to book ahead.

Mar 29: Peddlers Gin Co. Cocktail Paired Dinner at La Scala

Peddlers Gin Co. and La Scala are teaming up to host a fabulous cocktail and dinner pairing featuring five Asian-Italian courses. Following dinner, Peddlers is taking over The ZUK Bar for an afterparty featuring Micaela Piccolo plus resident mixologist Vincenzo Pagliara.

Mar 30: Spring Break Party/Chef Wars

Get ready for fun with a massive Spring Break Party at El Santo, Hooked and Little Creatures. There will be live music, top DJs and a battle of the Chefs. Watch two teams of rockstar chefs – Hardeep Somal (The Bull and Claw) and Rick Bartram (Intercontinental Shanghai Hongqiao) versus Carlos Sotomayor (UP Shanghai) and Eduardo Gomez (El Luchador) – go head to head to in competition for Shanghai’s best ceviche. You also have food and drink specials to look forward to for RMB30 such as seafood tapas, tacos, and a Bunnings-style sausage sizzle.

Raise a glass to the advent of spring at The Shanghai EDITION, where world-renowned Champagne brand Perrier-Jouët and Shanghai Tavern are co-launching an exciting new brunch menu. Chefs Jason Atherton and Scott Melvin are presenting an array of comforting classics like their signature ‘Tavern Mac and Cheese’ and breakfast standbys such as Eggs Benedict and bagels with smoked salmon paired with the fruity and floral flavors of the 100 percent Chardonnay grape-based Perrier-Jouët Blanc de Blancs, hand-picked by chief winemaker Hervé Deschamps.

Chef Theodor Falser (of one-Michelin-starred Johannesstube) is at La Scala for four days. Dine on a special springtime set lunch (three courses) or dinner (seven courses) and discover Chef Theodor's approach to cooking, inspired by seasonality and nature.

Apr 6: Taco Crawl

Join Taco Crawl II for taco innovation at Tacolicious, good times at Cantina Agave, street party vibes with La Coyota and Pocho Social Club, Southern-style tacos at Cages and an Al Pastor slice at Homeslice at this sizzling event. A KTV bus is the mode of transport complete with free flow Olmeca Tequila and Capi mixers. You will receive five tokens redeemable at participating venues (for a taco or slice)and a wristband for bus festivities. We've even heard about taco-shaped piñatas.
