The Long Bar at the Waldorf Astoria Shanghai is hosting a classy evening of classic and creative cocktails whipped up by John Ng, Hong Kong’s multi-award winning bartender and Michter’s Whiskey Asia Brand Ambassador. John will host a bartending masterclass, mixing up creative concoctions, including his very own “Italian Job” and “American Shandy” cocktails. Featuring a combination of flavors similar to a Manhattan and a Negroni, the “Italian Job” mixes sweet and bitter flavors with a touch of coffee and chocolate, and a splash of Amaro liqueur as a hat-tip to Italy. His “American Shandy” features a beautiful blend of whiskey, tea and beer, infused with the flavors of an English breakfast tea for a surprisingly smooth cocktail that has long been one of John’s bestsellers.
