April 7: 'Ming Yang Si Hai' of Pleasant Goat and Big Big Wolf

This fun-loving Chinese puppet musical is perfect for the kids, as they can join in with the adventures of the good-natured Xi Yangyang (Pleasant Goat), the hilarious Hui Tailang (Big Big Wolf) and his ambitious wife Hong Tailang. The multi-level stage design and upbeat songs and dances are guaranteed to keep the whole family entertained. Audience members will even be able to vote on what happens in the second half of the show.

April 11-14: Midnight Diner

Based on the popular manga and TV series by Japanese artist Yaro Abe, Midnight Diner is a new musical which tells the story of a mysterious yet talented chef, known only as “The Master,” who works at a midnight diner in central Tokyo. Adults will laugh and cry as the warm-hearted interactions of the chef with the range of customers who frequent this late night, 12-seat izakaya in the busy Shinjuku district are brought to life by song and dance.

May 30-June 2: The Cat Who Wished to be a Man

Adapted from the children's fantasy novel by American author Lloyd Alexander, China brings its own flare to this Japanese musical as it tells the story of Lionel, a house cat of the magical Stephanus, who longs to be a man. After many objections, Stephanus finally relents and the transformed Lionel begins his adventures in the town of Brightford. Kids and adults alike can enjoy Lionel's interactions with the inhabitants of Brightford, while finding friends as well as a few enemies in this charming musical about love, tolerance and cooperation.
