The Spring Festival may be coming to an end, but the drizzling and downpours are far from drawing to a close. According to The Weather Channel, we can expect rainy weather through the end of February.

The temperature today maxed out at 8 degrees Celsius (46.4 degrees Fahrenheit), and the lowest dropped to 6 degrees Celsius (42.8 degrees Fahrenheit). To all the lovebirds around town, we hope the cold and soggy Valentine's Day weather won't put a damper on your romance.

Despite the fact that cherry blossoms have already bloomed around the city, it would be wishful thinking to expect the bone chilling weather to go away any time soon. Instead, a new cold front is already on its way to Shanghai and is slated to make its landfall this weekend, reports NetEase. As a consequence, the mercury will plunge even further, resulting in a low of 1 degree Celsius (33.8 degrees Fahrenheit).

What's more, we are likely to receive another flurry over the weekend, as snow or sleet has been forecast for Saturday by the Shanghai Meteorological Bureau. Afterwards, the city will see rain and, you guessed it, more rain.

"The frequent rainy weather may be a result of the collision between the southwest air current and local cold fronts," explains one expert from the bureau. Here's a glimpse of the weather forecast for the following days:
