Jan 22: Slash ft. Myles Kennedy and The Conspirators

One of the greatest rock legends and guitarists of all time has teamed up with vocalist Myles Kennedy to form his current band. Slash’s iconic guitar mastery paired with the band’s impressive vocal and instrumental skills have garnered loyal fans and critical acclaim.

Jan 22-27: Heartbeat of Home

This electrifying extravaganza of music and dance folds traditional Irish step into other traditions from Europe, Africa and Latin America. The multicultural array of dancers and the 10 piece band are here for a six day stint to bring you a stunning, heart-stopping performance.

Jan 23: Dub Attack

Travezling dub reggae night Dub Attack returns to Shanghai. This Wednesday producer/DJ WuduB!? from Belgium will be spinning a strictly vinyl set with local support from Kyle B of the Shanghai Dancehall crew. WuduB!? creates unique atmospheres with his diverse take on contemporary bass music ranging from dub and steppers to dubstep and jungle.

Jan 24: XIA

Five DJs with different sounds will take to the stage at Dada this Thursday. Expect R&B, lo-fi, vaporwave, dub, house, chill-hop, chill-step and drumming.

Jan 25-26: That Funk Show

Because we believe that a healthy dose of funk is good for the soul: get up. Get into it! Shake brings the floor-filling funk for their first big concert of 2019. Courtney Knott and the full band take you on a voyage of music by James Brown, Parliament, Marvin Gaye, Prince and many more. Big horns, bigger grooves and downbeats heavier than a '75 Cadillac. Fix up, look sharp and get down. Dinner from 6pm, music from 10.30pm. Late set by Tony Hall on Friday, and Matt Cooper on Saturday.

Jan 25: Marco Carola

Marco Carola is a global ambassador of techno. Originally from Naples in the south of Italy, Marco was instrumental in the development of the electronic music scene there in the early 90's. He took the flourishing techno Napolitano scene to the rest of the world, and on Friday he'll be right here in Shanghai at Celia Club.

Jan 25: British Themed Quiz Night

Jan 25: Chromeo

This electro-funk duo from Montreal was formed in 2002 by musicians David 'Dave 1' Macklovitch and Patrick 'P-Thugg' Gemayel. With a sound that draws from blue-eyed soul, dance music, rock, synth-pop, disco and funk, many of the duo's songs have become dance floor favorites. Later this month, they'll land in Shanghai for a show filled with groovy synth tones, vintage drum machines and good vibes.

Jan 25: Shazia Mirza

Award winning British stand-up comedian Shazia Mirza is coming to Shanghai with her sharp, witty and provocative set. Shazia’s made too many TV appearances to count, including The One Show on BBC and The Craig Ferguson Show, and has toured all over the world. Her last show 'With Love From St. Tropez' toured internationally from 2017 until June 2018. Her previous stand-up show, the critically acclaimed 'The Kardashians Made Me Do It' played for 103 nights internationally across the UK, US, Sweden, Ireland and France and completed four sell out runs at London’s Soho Theatre.

Jan 26: FU#K – A Night of Funk

After randomly playing an off-kilter set of punk, funk and soul over three years ago, China DMC champion Cavia and Founder of Yeti Dis:ko Allan Marshall are joining forces once again for a night of funk at Dada. This has been a long time in the making, so don't miss it!

Jan 26: Samajam: Kids Show

Kids' all-time favorite music show has returned. Providing children with all sorts of instruments, the show makes kids the stars of the performance themselves by letting them make some amazing music together. Warm up this Winter with Shanghai School of Burlesque's brand new Winter Showcase, a follow up to their sold out summer show at The Pearl.
