The IHG Shanghai Hotels Charity Dinner was held at the InterContinental Shanghai Ruijin on November 28. The event raised a total of RMB726,770 to support IHG True Hospitality for Good Fund and was centered upon the theme of old Shanghai.

The charity dinner was jointly organized by all IHG hotels in Shanghai and Huaxia Finance. For the last three years, the IHG Foundation has supported important projects across the globe. Continuing the legacy of the IHG Foundation, True Hospitality for Good will focus on supporting and developing education and skills in the hospitality industry, as well as disaster relief.

“True Hospitality for Good is our new flagship program for communities and charitable giving, which is more closely aligned to our business and provides colleagues with a greater say in how we support important causes around the world,” Said David Markham, Vice President of Operations, East China, IHG. “We will strike more powerful long-term partnerships with charities and NGOs and provide colleagues with more opportunities to give back through volunteering. The power will be with all of us to make a positive change and our commitment to colleague participation will grow further in the years ahead.”

In Greater China, IHG True Hospitality for Good Fund will continuously collaborate with China Soong Ching Ling Foundation. In the GC region, it has donated more than USD566,000 to fund projects with charities and helped more than 3,232 people.
