We Tried the New 7-Eleven To-Go Sling Shots So That You Don't Have To

'We Try It' is a regular series where we try the latest off-beat food and beverage offerings.

Good news for those looking for a cheap way to pregame before hitting the Gongti club scene: 7-Eleven now stocks miniature to-go shots.

These handy little 'Sling Shots' are made up of two liquid ingredients that are divided by plastic. (Are we supposed to mix them in our mouth?) They're available in various flavors, like Sex on the Beach, a combination of raspberry and pineapple liqueur, and Pink'n Peachy, made with peach schnapps and cranberry liqueur.

After careful consideration, we select the Blazing Cowboy – butterscotch schnapps and Irish cream liueur – and the Strawberry Surprise, though we're not sure what's so surprising as it's just strawberry and vanilla cream liqueur. The first one is strong and sugary, with a bitter aftertaste of melted plastic, which has us a bit concerned. The latter just tastes like spiked liquid candy.

We're left skeptical, but a little buzzed we'll admit. So, the next time you're thinking of grabbing a few for your night out – just take our word for it and don't, OK?
