That's Shanghai takes a look at some of the week's best upcoming F&B events:

Dec 3-Jan 1: Oysters for Education

Wouldn't it be great to eat oysters for a good cause? The Oysterlicious Restaurant Group has made this dream come true. Every year, over three million Chinese children drop out before reaching middle school, with the majority of them being girls. That's why The Plump Oyster, Osteria and C Pearl Pudong are donating RMB10 to Educating Girls of Rural China for every oyster you order – giving back never tasted so good. As of Dec 2, they had sold 3,625 oysters for a total donation of RMB36,260, and the more you slurp, the more they donate.

Dec 6: St. Paddy's Practice Session

This is too funny. The Blarney Stone wants to keep Saint Patrick's day revelers from making the biggest mistake: to climb the Guinness mountain without training or warming up. To minimize the number of  'Irish' seen dazed and confused, they are offering a '100 Days to Go' practice session. True professionals know the value of preparation.

Dec 6, from RMB25. The Blarney Stone, see event listing

Dec 6: A Night in Andalusia

In a series dedicated to culinary travelings, Le Bouchon brings you to Andalusia, Spain. The three-course dinner begins in the bar area with a Spanish buffet including Iberico ham on the bone, then a seated dinner celebrating Cochinillo (suckling pig), Spanish wine, dessert and flamenco shows during the evening, hosted by Antonio de la Isla, dancer and entertainer from Seville.

Dec 6, 7pm, RMB450 per person. Le Bouchon, see event listing

The foosball table is waiting for ya. No cover.

They’ll have German sausages and Glühwein at the ready, among other delicious dishes, so let the season begin.
