That's Shanghai takes a look at some of the week's best upcoming F&B events:
Dec 3-Jan 1: Oysters for Education

Wouldn't it be great to eat oysters for a good cause? The Oysterlicious Restaurant Group has made this dream come true. Every year, over three million Chinese children drop out before reaching middle school, with the majority of them being girls. That's why The Plump Oyster, Osteria and C Pearl Pudong are donating RMB10 to Educating Girls of Rural China for every oyster you order – giving back never tasted so good. As of Dec 2, they had sold 3,625 oysters for a total donation of RMB36,260, and the more you slurp, the more they donate.
Dec 5-8: Michelin Dining Series with Two-star Chef Marco Sacco

Scena Italian Restaurant is collaborating with two-star Italian Michelin chef Marco Sacco to deliver a unique Michelin night. Known for a creative interpretation of authentic family-style cuisine, expect Chef Sacco's to make an impression you won't soon forget.
Dec 6: St. Paddy's Practice Session

This is too funny. The Blarney Stone wants to keep Saint Patrick's day revelers from making the biggest mistake: to climb the Guinness mountain without training or warming up. To minimize the number of 'Irish' seen dazed and confused, they are offering a '100 Days to Go' practice session. True professionals know the value of preparation.
Dec 6: A Night in Andalusia

In a series dedicated to culinary travelings, Le Bouchon brings you to Andalusia, Spain. The three-course dinner begins in the bar area with a Spanish buffet including Iberico ham on the bone, then a seated dinner celebrating Cochinillo (suckling pig), Spanish wine, dessert and flamenco shows during the evening, hosted by Antonio de la Isla, dancer and entertainer from Seville.
Dec 6: Specters Night!

You can’t kill what was always dead, which is why Specters has risen to the occasion and thrown together a DJ night at Yuyintang Park. Baron Van West, Compact Dicks, Tina Turntrick and more of the venue’s favorite disc jockeys will be manning the tables for a night of cheap drinks, old friends and good times. The foosball table is waiting for ya. No cover.
Dec 7-9: BLN Christmas Market

For the 12th year in a row, this German Christmas market is here to usher in good tidings and the holiday spirit. With 70 hand selected craft vendors, you’ll find everything you need to stuff your stockings or deck your home in boughs of holly. They’ll have German sausages and Glühwein at the ready, among other delicious dishes, so let the season begin.
Dec 7: Ugly Sweater Xmas Party

These days it's not Christmas until an Ugly Sweater party has been hosted and The Hop Project wants you to dust off your red and green monstrosities or get your Taobao fingers searching to celebrate Christmas tackiness. Your mission is to show up with the most comical reindeer and/or Christmas tree decorated sweaters with bonus points for pom-poms or felt applique. Your reward is Jello-shots and all night happy hour. Of course, there are prizes for the fugliest Christmas sweater.
