Now in its fifth edition, West Bund Art & Design is taking place from November 8 to 11, 2018, in Hall A of the West Bund Art Center and the newly constructed adjacent Hall N. This year the total exhibition space exceeds 20,000 square meters with more than 110 leading international galleries from 43 cities across Asia, Europe, North America and South America presenting the highest caliber of contemporary art.

Nov 8-11, see listing for details. Longteng Avenue, see event listing.

For the first time in China the Powerlong Museum is hosting one of the most comprehensive collections of 20th century Korean abstract art. With over 100 works, the exhibition establishes a post-war narrative that continues through to this day, including artists like Kim Whanki, Park Seo-Bo, Kwon Young-Woo and several others.

Until March 2, Powerlong Museum.

Altered State

This duo exhibition from Chen Xuanrong and Huang Yulong explores urban individuality in China and street culture. With heavy hip hop influences, these two artists curated a conversation about their own respective identities through paintings and impressive, seemingly gravity defying sculptures.

Until Dec 31, Art+ Shanghai.

Lose Your Mind: David Shrigley

Here's your last chance to catch the Shrigley exhibition. Sitting at the intersection of art, design and pop culture, his solo show combines satire, black humor and an impeccable use of puns in a refreshing contemporary exhibition. It's comprised of over 400 illustrations and a collection of installations, giving you more than enough of a reason to head to the power station of Design - a creative extension of the Power Station of Art. And it's free!

Until Nov 14, power station of Design.

GUCCI x Maurizio Cattelan: The Artist is Present

Italian artist Maurizio Cattelan has partnered with Gucci’s Creative Director, Alessandro Michele, to bring a surreal collection of curated works to the Yuz Musem. Exploring how originality can be acheived through acts of repetition, the exhibition inspired by Marina Abromovic's 2010 live performance (as featured in the Jay Z music video for 'Picasso Baby' which, fun fact, revolves around a relatively interesting controversy that you should definitely look up) is runnning through to December.

Until Dec 16, RMB60, Yuz Museum.
