Oct 10: Tennyson

This Canadian brother-sister duo have come a long way since their days of busking on the streets. They'll be playing their electronica/jazz blend for the first time in China tonight at Arkham, so should be a pretty fun way to break up your week.

Oct 10, 9pm, RMB90-120. Arkham, see event listing, buy tickets.

Oct 11: Dé Dé Mouse

We got mashups and an upbeat sound from this 'celestial disco' playing artist. This'll be a good one for dancing, and his VJ stuff is worth YouTubing.

Oct 11, 8.30pm, RMB150 pre sale, RMB180 door. Mao Livehouse, see event listing.

Oct 13: Bruno Major

North London native Bruno Major releases songs in real time as they’re finished. Having recently toured with Sam Smith, he’s now headlining his own show of soulful, alternative R&B music.

Oct 13, 10.30pm, RMB120 pre sale, RMB150 door. Yuyintang Park, see event listing.

Oct 13: International Cassette Store Day

Ah, the cassette tape. We honor its image and lack of convenience with the fifth annual calabration of the humble format. There'll be a daytime market at Subland, and a super show at Yuyintang that night. There'll be shoegaze, hip hop, dubstep and punk. Yeah!

Oct 13, 8.30pm, RMB80 pre sale, RMB100 door. Yuyintang, see event listing.

Oct 14: Three with Schnellertollermeier

Experimental-avant-psych-minimal rock. From Switzerland. Just gonna leave it at that.

Oct 14, 9pm, RMB60 pre sale, RMB80 door. Yuyintang Park, see event listing.
