That's Shanghai takes a look at the best events of the week.

We got mashups and an upbeat sound from this 'celestial disco' playing artist. This'll be a good one for dancing, and his VJ stuff is worth YouTubing.

Oct 11, 8.30pm, RMB150 pre sale, RMB180 door. Mao Livehouse, see event listing.

Oct 11-21: STOMP

STOMP combines dance, comedy and music into a theatrical whirlwind you’ll never forget. This production uses matchboxes, brooms, garbage cans, Zippo lighters and more to create the energizing beats in this full-of-life stage show.

Oct 11-21, RMB180-780, 7.30pm. ET Space, see event listingbuy tickets.

Oct 12: Loev Bagn Sports Lesure Launching Party

Another Love Bang party. Or is it Loev Bagn? Will there be clothes for sale? A new shirt released? We're not totally sure, but we're pumped for another night of good music.

Oct 12, 9pm, RMB60. Elevator, see event listing.

Oct 12: Fantasna

Chilean producer and DJ, Fantasna, will be taking over the home of Shanghai's disco pizza oven this weekend. Parlour's putting on a free show in honor of Columbus Day - but you know, the right way...? We're excited to have this Boiler Room headliner back in the city.

Oct 12, 9pm, no cover. Parlour, see event listing.

Oct 12: Hispanidad Day Party

Sangria, music and much food will be available for this celebration. Entry tickets include 10 food and drink tickets, so it's a good way to sample some of the Latin world’s best fare.

Oct 12, 6pm, RMB150 early bird, RMB180 door. Azul, see event listing.

Oct 13: Bruno Major

North London native Bruno Major releases songs in real time as they’re finished. Having recently toured with Sam Smith, he’s now headlining his own show of soulful, alternative R&B music.

Oct 13, 10.30pm, RMB120 pre sale, RMB150 door. Yuyintang Park, see event listing.

Oct 13: Martin Mor

Funny-man Martin Mor is coming to Shanghai Comedy Club for a stand-up set that'll have you in stiches. This former circus performer has traveled the world calling out audience members everywhere he goes. Also his beard is insane.

Oct 13, 9pm, RMB120-200. Cages Bar and Sports, see event listingbuy tickets.

Oct 13: International Cassette Store Day

Ah, the cassette tape. We honor its image and lack of convenience with the fifth annual calabration of the humble format. There'll be a daytime market at Subland, and a super show at Yuyintang that night. There'll be shoegaze, hip hop, dubstep and punk. Yeah!

Oct 13, 8.30pm, RMB80 pre sale, RMB100 door. Yuyintang, see event listing.

Oct 13-21: Glengarry Glen Ross

David Mamet's iconic play is back in Shanghai with a new production from DreamWeaver. Their 2014 run was met with nothing but praise from publications across the city, so we have high hopes for this re-vamp. They will be dedicated to the late Paul Collins, whose performance in the original show is still talked about to this day.

Oct 13-21, RMB180 early bird, RMB200 pre sale, RMB 220 door, 7pm and 8pm. Sasha's, see event listingbuy tickets.

Oct 13: Mika Shimauchi Exhibition Opening

The opening of this exhibit showcases works that are impressive, crude, dark and comical. They catalogue the artist's grappling with existential dread in a range of mediums that are worth a gander.

Oct 13 - Nov 11, no entry fee. Shun Art Gallery, see event listing.

Oct 14: Three with Schnellertollermeier

Experimental-avant-psych-minimal rock. From Switzerland. Just gonna leave it at that.

Oct 14, 9pm, RMB60 pre sale, RMB80 door. Yuyintang Park, see event listing.
