Over the next week, RAM will host a series of performance pieces from 2pm onward. Showcasing Nunu Kong, Lu Yang (whose work is featured in the poster above) Eisa Jocson, Venuri Perera and Geumhyung Jeong, these performances and workshops cover a range of themes and styles. You can check their website for artist info and the full schedule in detail.

Cut it Out: Paper World of Tang Zhengwei

These two and three dimensional paper cut works are Tang's way of expresseing his concerns about the future of the environment. An ancient practice put in conversation with contemporary issues, the pieces vary in size and scale with one of the most ambitious being a rendition of a power plant. With recognizable imagery, this delicate and intricate exhibition illustrates one of the many ways contemporary Chinese artists reappropriate traditional practices.
Until Oct 21, Art+ Shanghai Gallery.
Bodega Run

Tshcabalala Self's solo exhibition at Yuz Project Space of Art highlights the Bodegas of New York City alongside paintings, sculptures and video. The family run corners stores featured in Self's show capture an aspect of the Black-American and Latinx community that has yet to be shown in a Chinese instution.
Until Dec 9, Yuz Museum.
Carte Blanche - Continuous Terminus

Only a week left to catch Continuous Terminus, a group show featuring a lot of video pieces and stuff made on computers. These futuresque digital works by Hsiung Cheng Kai and Mao Haonan are a combination of dark and optimistic, programmatic feats, a captivating addition to M50.
Until Oct 7, ShanghART Main Space.
Other Voices Other Spaces

Closing this weekend is the group show from Liang Manqi, Li Qing, Shi Zhiying, Wang Yi and Yuan Keru. The exhibit engages with philosopher Michel Foucault's idea of 'heterotopia', used to describe places and spaces that function in non-dominant positions (roughly speaking). Many of the works are geometric, highlighting the relationships between shapes, colors and positive/negative space.
Until Sep 30, Shanghai Gallery of Art.
TRI-SOLO

Bank is simultaneously running three solo shows from Sun Yitian, Kim Laughton and Wang Rui. These consumerist works range from 3D animation to an "immersive imagery feast" examining the fragile psychological boundries between the virtual and the real.
Until Oct 28, Bank Gallery.
