Top Floor Circus - Money Ruins a Relationship (Yet a Relationship Ruins Money and the Relationship) (self-released)

In a dozen years, this Shanghai quintet has grown from the underwear adorned jesters of Chinese rock to being one of its best acts. On their sprawling double album, the sarcastic wit remains but the focus is on matters of the heart. Over an indie-pop backdrop, charismatic frontman Lu Chen and new member Fan Fan duet and you don’t need to understand Shanghainese to hear the chemistry between the two.
