Jun 8: Aroop Roy
UK producer Aroop Roy returns to UNICO Shanghai for a set of his unique dance music, which blends the organic elements of jazz, Afro, Latin and funk with the more electronic beats of house and disco. The event also features UNICO's Nine ThirSty promotion, with free flow gin & tonic from 9.30-10.30pm. Entry is free before midnight with the password 'Coco.'

Jun 8: Italian Dance Wave Live
Dada's Italian Dance Wave night showcases the first in a series of live sets that span dark disco, acid house, new wave and grime. For this show, Altieri and L-N will perform live with Lena Kilina on vocals and Vasily on visuals. Expect 70s and 80s Italian disco mixed with more contemporary genres like Chicago house.

Held
in the spacious venue of The Pearl, which has a large stage ideal for
live drag performances, Pride10’s official opening party has a ‘bling’
theme, so expect a bonanza of glitter, bubbles, and laughter. Don your
sparkliest attire and dive in.

Jun 9: DJ Afro & Raco G
Promoters SHFT. and The Plug team up for this show with two major Chinese hip-hop talents. DJ Afro was a regional Redbull 3style Champion and has worked with Soft Lip and MC Hot Dog, while Raco G is an up-and-coming rapper. Catch them both at Arkham.

Jun 9: Surgeon
Active since the 90s, the American producer known as both DJ Eon and the Surgeon comes to Shanghai for a set of his techno at Celia. The club's resident Lina K is on support.

Jun 9: Love Bang
Love Bang keeps it weird with a party themed around the launch of a (probably?) fictional milk tea "made with real pearls, cooked for 126 hours with plum rain water and delivered by fire trucks." Head to Elevator for club trax, hip-hop and crazy visuals from Baijiu Robot, Momamode, Provoda and VJ Chen Xixi.

Shanghai's most fabulous new roller rink bar hosts Sweetheart, a "night for lovers." Head there for hip-hop and party jams all night from the Hippo Tank's DJ Dopey, plus free heart candy and skate rental from RMB45.

Jun 9: Brawl on the Bund
This Shanghai tradition celebrates its 10th year of putting on amateur boxing events in glamorous Bund-side spots. The anniversary event will be held at their founding partner venue Hyatt on the Bund, in an exclusive black-tie affair limited to 500 guests. Expect at least 8 white collar fights, a sumptuous 4-course dinner, unlimited cocktails and beer and a charity raffle for breast cancer foundation More Than Aware.

Jun 9: Life in Color Shanghai
The self-described 'world's largest paint party' returns to Shanghai for a bonanza of EDM and neon paint splatters. Headliners this year include dubstep duo Knife Party, DJ Diesel (aka Shaquille O'Neal), EDM duo Krewella and lots more. Attendees are told to wear white, and leave the party covered in a rainbow of paint.
