Apr 27: Batuk
South African house music collective Batuk deal in electrifying Afro-futurist beats that span zouk, afro/tribal house, soul, techno and traditional African music. Two out of the group’s three core members, producer Spoek Mathambo and artist/vocalist Manteiga, bring their live show to ALL for their China debut, which falls perfectly on South Africa’s Freedom Day. Gouachi, JustSyd, SierraLima and Skinny Brown perform in support with installations from Trashman and Killer Weixin.

Apr 27-28: Bar Rouge Terrace Opening Party Part 2
Bar Rouge spends a second weekend celebrating the re-opening of their iconic terrace overlooking the Bund. Bottles of Absolut Elyx and Perrier Jouet are buy one get one both nights. Head there for music by Canine on Friday and the SAGB DJs on Saturday.

Apr 28: Celia 2 Year Anniversary
After-hours club Celia celebrates two years in the game with a massive line-up of DJs who’ve performed there since their opening, including Ryo, Cice, Lina K, Ming Ming, Theo-Man, Jeff Chong, Emil Chang and lots more. Cover price includes a drink.

Apr 28: China Social Club x NTS 2 Year Anniversary
Aussie-run club night China Social Club celebrates two years of collaborating with popular underground radio station NTS. The stacked line-up includes a live set from Meuko! Meuko! of Taiwan, Genome 6.66 Mbp member Hyph11e, underground hip-hop artist Nengnen + DJ-B-Side, and DJ HYMN alongside China Social Club’s Frau and PCJ.

Apr 28-29: Shake Spotlight: Courtney Knott
Vocalist Courtney Knott is a graduate of Berklee College of Music and Shake’s new resident singer for the next three months. Head to the bar for two energetic nights of dancing to her live performance of funk and soul with a live band. Drinks and dinner starts from 6pm, with live music from 10pm.

Apr 29: Adesse Versions
算盘, the Beijing promoters that brought you Optimo and Denis Sulta, are back at Dada with their latest guest, UK DJ Adesse Versions. A house music DJ focused on disco, funk and rare classic samples, he's sure to provide a fun and danceable Sunday night set.

Apr 29-30: Electric Daisy Carnival
One of the world's biggest EDM festivals annually in Las Vegas, Electric Daisy Carnival arrives in Shanghai for the first time this weekend. Headliners include major names like Deadmau5, Martin Garrix and Alison Wonderland, plus Hardwell, Andy C, Illenium, Soothsayer and lots more.

Apr 29: EDC Afterparty: Alison WonderLand
One of several afterparties descending on Shanghai as part of Electric Daisy Carnival, Australian trap and electronic music producer Alison Wonderland will perform a set at MAO Livehouse, with DJL, Chopstyx and Neo performing in support.

Apr 29: EDC Afterparty: Deadmau5
He of the very famous mouse mask also gets an official EDC afterparty in the form of a set at Modern Sky Lab, a great chance to see the producer in a more intimate setting than EDC. Catch him alongside DJ Pai, Mansun and Ghost.

Apr 29-30: Le Baron EDC Afterparties
Le Baron hosts two nights of EDC afterparties, in which one of the festival’s headliners will perform a more intimate set at the club. Sunday sees a performance by Nickthereal, aka singer-songwriter Nick Chou, while Monday night will feature a set from Spinnin’ Records-signed producer Curtis.
