Apr 4: James Blunt
The English singer-songwriter responsible for romantic megahit 'You're Beautiful' returns to Shanghai for a tour promoting his latest album, Afterlove. Though he's since faded a bit from the spotlight, Blunt's debut record, Back to Bedlam, was the best-selling album of the 2000s in the UK.

Apr 4: Rhyw
Rhyw is the solo alias, formed in 2016, of Alex Tsiridis from well-regarded techno duo Cassegrain, who met at Redbull Music Academy in Barcelona. Rhyw plays his solo project at ALL this week.

Apr 4-6: Elevator 2nd Anniversary
The homey and always hopping Xinle Lu club celebrates its 2nd anniversary with three straight nights of partying over Qingming. Wednesday sees German DJ Ata headline alongside Beatween's Knopha and Elevator manager Mau Mau, while Thursday features a set from Japan's Rio Kawamoto with Shanghai DJs MIIIA and Leon C playing in support. Friday features an Elevator resident line-up of Michael Cignarale of Medusa, NMLSS and Provoda of Void, Diamond Lil, Finascia and more. Tickets are available per day or a 3-day pass.

Apr 5: Murder He Wrote
Named one of the best newcomers of 2017 by DJ Mag, Murder He Wrote is a producer dealing in an unpredictable mix of UK funky, bassline, garage, house, dancehall, grime, and reggae. Catch his show from Wonky Kong at Dada.

Apr 6: Slushii
American EDM performer Slushii first made waves with his remixes in 2016; prior to that he was a bass player in psych-rock band Deuteronomy. Dealing in dubstep and future bass, he dropped his debut album, Out of Light, last August. Catch his show at TAXX in Shanghai.

Apr 6: Zombies in Miami
One of the most prominent Mexican electronic music projects, Zombies in Miami deal in a catchy and unique hybrid of techno and rock music with vocals and a dance floor focus. They've played everywhere from Berghain to Burning Man. Catch their show at Dada.

Apr 6: Choice37
Le Baron brings back Korean-American producer Choice 37, who is signed to influential music label YG Entertainment. A major name in K-pop and the creator of hits like ‘Big Bang’ and ‘GD,’ he’s expected to bring a big crowd. The show is free; book a table or get there early for entry.

Apr 7: Barbarism
Rescheduled from last weekend, this monthly club night for ‘civilized barbarians' returns for its third
installment, with boundary-pushing dance music that spans pop, hip hop,
forgotten classics, and familiar vocals presented in a new context. Free,

Apr 7: Sébastien Tellier
Le Baron's rooftop bar Beverly offers up a big booking in the form of Sébastien Tellier, a popular French vocalist who sings in English, French and Italian and deals in new wave and synthpop. His third studio album, Sexuality, was produced by one of Daft Punk’s members, and he’s scored several films. Catch him performance live at Beverly.
