American multi-instrumentalist Alexander Lewis is a trained jazz musician originally from the Bay Area. He now deals in a jazz-influenced take on trap and electronic music. Catch his Shanghai show at Arkham.

Mar 30: Count Bass D
Daily
Vinyl and Eating Music team up to bring over Atlanta-based rapper,
producer and multi-instrumentalist Count Bass D. Active for two decades,
he deals in a unique blend of funk, soul and hip-hop, featuring film
samples mixed with live instrumentation. Check out his latest track with
Snoop Dogg, 2017’s ‘Too Much Pressure,’ and then check out his China
debut at Arkham with Damacha and Ollo-MAM in support.

Mar 30: Demian Licht
Thanks to Antidote, Mexican techno superstar Demian Licht makes her China debut this weekend at Dada with a live audio-visual set. She’s best known for her Female Criminals EPs, which explore through harsh and minimal techno the “the dark side of female minds.” Highly recommended.

Mar 30: Jacques
The Mansion hosts Jacques, a producer and performance artists who creates impromptu live sets with everyday sound samples, including objects provided to him by the audience, from plastic cups to keys. Catch this unique show with Rainbow High and more in support. Cover price includes 5 drinks.

Mar 31: MakJ
American-born MAKJ began DJing while based in China as a teen racecar driver, and then started DJing professionally after repatriating to the US at age 17. The up-and-coming producer was trained in scratching by DJ Am and has performed all over the world.

Mar 31: Hotpot with DJ Wordy
Three-time China DMC champion DJ Wordy, who first founded his Hotpot club night in Beijing seven years ago, settles into a monthly residency at Le Baron. Head there for an eclectic dance party.
