Mar 28: Rae Sremmurd

Arkham books a huge last-minute show featuring a surprise performance by Rae Sremmurd, the Mississippi rap duo behind 2016’s massively popular track 'Black Beatles' featuring Gucci Mane (“That girl is a real crowd-pleaser…”). Catch them live for this Wednesday night show with Amber Akilla and KINJ in support.

Mar 30: Slap

Hebei folk-rock band Slap, who have an accessible, poppy sensibility to their music, arrive in Shanghai as part of the China tour for their 20th anniversary as a band. Catch their show at Mao Livehouse.

Mar 31: Mitsume

This Tokyo quartet brings their sunny pop and surf rock to Shanghai. They've released all their albums on their own label, and have a carefree, DIY approach to their music and touring. Catch their MAO Livehouse show  through Ye Records.

Mar 31: The Hormones

Chengdu-based all-girl rock group The Hormones embark on a two month tour of China to promote their latest album, a follow-up to their well-received 2014 debut EP, Elephant. Don't miss one of Chengdu's best homegrown bands as they pass through Shanghai. Check out our interview with the band here.

Apr 1: Alpine Decline

Once one of Beijing's best psychedelic rock bands, Alpine Decline has relocated to LA, but continues making their unique strain of trippy and immersive music. The duo is releasing their latest album, Return to  Desolation Lake (with cover art designed by Shanghai's IdleBeats) this  month on Maybe Mars.
