Mar 8: Roska

Le Baron hosts Roska, one of the leading purveyors of UK funky. His Roska Kicks & Snares label has over 50 releases, and he’s known for fusing UK funky with other strains of bass-heavy club music. Head there for a solid Thursday night show.

Mar 9: Pinch

201803/Pinch.jpgUK  dubstep producer Pinch, who's garnered a following via his Tectonic  Label thanks to his meshing of reggae and dancehall in his productions,  comes to Shanghai for a set at Dada courtesy of Wonky Kong. Shanghai DJs  Kilo Vee and Wonky Kong founder Siesta provide support.

Mar 9: Virginia

German singer, producer and DJ Virginia comes to Shanghai for a set at Elevator. Her warm, analog-inspired sets are given extra appeal thanks to her live vocal performance, and she’s released on major labels like Rough Trade. Support comes from Shanghai DJs Diamond Lil and Leon C.

Mar 9: King Chain Residency

This Friday night kicks off the Le Baron residency of King Chain, an up and coming trap artist who raps in Mandarin and is rapidly gaining a huge following across Asia and beyond, with his futuristic single “Don’t Speak” topping charts in Taiwan, Thailand, and Hong Kong.

Mar 9: The Chop Chop Club's 1st Birthday

Homey Bund-side steakhouse The Chop Chop Club celebrates their first birthday with a generous party: complimentary drinks and bites will be on offer from 9pm-11pm. There will also be line dancing, live music, ‘sexy coyotes,’ and lots more to go with the party theme of “Chop Chop unchained.”

Mar 9: El Santo & Hooked Birthday Party

Next-door  neighbors in Found 158, Hooked and El Santo turn one year old, and are  celebrating their first birthday with Corona, wines, tacos and seafood  tacos for RMB25 a pop, plus RMB12 oysters, 3 DJs throughout the evening  and live music and drink specials at Little Creatures nearby.

Mar 9: Armin van Buuren

201803/Armin-van-Buuren1.jpgThe Dutch DJ and producer returns to Shanghai for a performance at MYST.  Generally considered one of the world's most famous DJs, van Buuren has  won the top spot on DJ Mag's Top 100 DJs List a record-breaking 5 times  and has been running his own radio show, A State of Trance, since 2001.

Mar 9: Techno is a Woman

The Mansion hosts this showcase of female DJs in honor of International Women’s Day. Head there to catch Lina K, Jasmine Li, MIIIA, Cice and more female DJ talent from Shanghai and beyond. As always at The Mansion, the cover price gets you a whopping 5 drink tickets.

Mar 9-10: Club 3 1/3 Opening

After 4 months of soft opening, Bud-side Club 3 1/3 officially throws their weekend-long launch party. Attendees can show a photo of the flyer to receive two free drinks, while those who make a table reservation will get a free bottle Perrier Jouet Champagne. The dress code is rock star.

Mar 10: DJ M1

DJ M1 comes to Shanghai for a set at Bar Rouge that will span electro, house, 80's, dubstep and hip-hop. He’s collaborated with the likes of DJ Snake and Steve Aoki, and has performed at major clubs all over the world.

Mar 10: Florian Meindl

Monthly techno club night NOVA brings over Austrian DJ Florian Meindl. Based out of Berlin, he's been producing for 14 years and has become known for his groovy, analog-driven techno. Support comes from several Shanghai  techno DJs who you'll often catch at places like Celia and Elevator,  including Jasmine Li, Lina K, MIIIA and Max Shen.

Mar 10: Love Bang

Love Bang’s first party of 2018 brings all the hip-hop, funk, rare grooves and club trax you could ask for from Kin.J, Gouachi, MIIIA and Baijiu Robot, Visuals inspired by 3rd tier city nightclubs will be provided by  VJ Chen Xixi.
