Feb 27: El Tuesday at Unico
Join Unico on Tuesday and dance to the rhythm of the genuine Latin sounds, including Cuban salsa, bachata and merengue. Dance to live salsa music by La Reunion followed by fresh beats from DJ S.Kiv. Learn some of the best Latin moves with their open class offered by two partner dance schools: Cuban Salsa and Bachata by Latin Soul (9.45pm) and Cuban Salsa and “Rueda” by Shanghai Latin Dance (11.20pm). Show up early for the "Nine Thirty" happy hour, which gets you free flow of mojitos from 9.30-10.30pm. Or enjoy buy-one-get-one mojitos for RMB80 all day.

Feb 28: Ride
British rock band Ride formed in the late 80s and is considered a seminal shoegaze band, with their debut album, Nowhere, as one of the genre's most important records. The band broke up in 1996 due to artistic differences, with one member moving on to play bass for Oasis. They have since reunited for several tours, and are now making their way to Shanghai. Feb 28: Green Initiatives February Film Screening
Green Initiatives will celebrate the one-year anniversary of the launch of the RE:FORM Project at the latest edition of their monthly film screening. This time, they'll be showing River Blue, a groundbreaking documentary examining the fashion industry and its effect on the environment. The film screening will be followed by a short discussion.

Mar 2: Bollywood Holi Festival
This Friday, Bar Rouge brings you to India to celebrate Holi, the Festival of Colors. Expect the heat of Delhi nights and the best of Indian clubbing with the legendary DJ Dee, who will be delivering his finest Indian tunes all the way from Delhi. Dress up in your most colorful outfit with a slice of shine and bling for a night of colorful performances and vibrant beats.

Mar 3: DJ Nicolas Spielmann
This Saturday, Bar Rouge invites DJ Nicolas Spielmann in the house. Dance the night away to beats imported to Shanghai all the way from France.

Mar 3: The Dickies
Punk rock legends The Dickies, who formed in LA in the late 70s and were one of the first major pop-punk bands, with their distinctively campy and irreverent style, embark on their first ever China tour as part of their 40th anniversary. Shanghai bands Round Eye and Dirty Fingers provide a dose of locally-based punk as openers.

Mar 4: Glam's Monthly Vegan Brunch
M Glam, the Bund-side sister restaurant and lounge to M on the Bund, is the latest to offer a fully vegan brunch, following a well-received collaboration with Hong Kong's Grassroots Pantry last year. The brunch, held on the first Sunday of every month, gets you six sharing-style dishes and a smoothie for RMB328 per person, plus 10 percent service. For more, read our review.

Ongoing: Yu Garden Lantern Festival
The 2018 Lantern Festival has kicked off at Yu Garden, featuring a dazzling display of different lanterns, including special canine-themed ones to welcome in the Year of the Dog. Over 40 lantern installations will come alive starting from 5.30pm until 9pm every evening. This year's edition of the annual display will run from now until March 5. Entry will be free, with the exception of March 2-5, when admission will be priced at RMB30-80 per person.
