Shanghai Now Has Unmanned Sex Shops, So, You Know...

Great news for those shy to buy but keen to foray into the world of silicon fun: Shanghai now has not one, but two unmanned sex shops

In-keeping with a China-wide trend for staff-less stores, of which there are now convenience marts and even gyms, the Mike Honey sex shops are open 24/7.

Inside, customers can take their pick from a selection of sex toys, lubricants and other intimate products, which are displayed in vending machines. Mobile payments are accepted via WeChat and Alipay, meaning no awkward eye contact or human interaction whatsoever.

There is, however, a downside in that the locations are far from central. One store is located in Putuo, roughly a 30 minute drive from the city center, and the other in Jiading, a good 12.5km from downtown Shanghai (but on the other hand, a boon for bored suburban housewives.)

So anyway, now you know...
