Jan 17: Imagine Dragons
Formed in Las Vegas in 2008, pop-rock superstars Imagine Dragons have
hit upon a major recipe for success with their resonating mix of guitar
rock, empowering lyrics and bassy EDM. They're back in town after making
their Shanghai debut in 2015 to tour their latest album, 2017's Evolve.

Jan 19: TTechmak Album Release Show
Jazz trumpeter Ttechmak releases his new album, Uncertain Worlds, with a show at JZ Club. A follow-up to last year’s acclaimed collaboration with Soulspeak, Love in the Land of Robots, the project continues his exploration into jazz and electronic music. He’ll be supported at the show by a band of locally-based musicians.

Jan 20: SoFar Sounds
This worldwide concept with outposts in nearly 400 cities returns with their latest Shanghai concert. Promising a live show at an "intimate and respectful setting," the line-up for the afternoon remains under wraps, as does the location (though we do know that this month's is at an art gallery on The Bund. The event is free, but you must sign-up in advance on their website.

Jan 20: Jimmy Prime
One of the freshest rap talents to come out of Toronto, Jimmy Prime collaborated on Drake’s Grammy-nominated mixtape, If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late. He’s also got four full-length albums of versatile rap, including 2017’s Bleeding Bull. Catch his show at Arkham, with Dazzy and Amber Akilla in support.

Jan 21: Nomak
Japanese producer Nomak deals in a dreamy, blissed-out blend of cloud rap and experimental hip-hop, as evidenced by his standout track 'Teeter-totter' and his latest single from 2017, 'CRISPR/cas9_.' Catch his show at Mao Livehouse in promotion of his latest album, Phenomenal Love.
