Singer-songwriter extraordinaire John Legend is coming to Shanghai this March. (Tickets can be purchased here).
Over the course of five albums, Legend has won a whopping 10 Grammy Awards for his pop-inflected R&B, as well as an Academy Award and a Tony (he’s just an Emmy Award shy of being an EGOT-er).
Before becoming a chart-topping artist, Legend got his start in his church choir in Springfield, Ohio, then went on to become an in-demand session musician in the 90s for Alicia Keys, Twista and Janet Jackson. Legend’s 2004 debut album, Get Lifted, won three Grammy Awards, including Best New Artist, thanks largely to the hit ballad ‘Ordinary People.’
Legend’s 2013 hit ‘All of Me’ topped the Billboard Hot 100, and his later albums (along with his high-profile relationship with Chrissy Teigen) continued to bring him mainstream success. He’s also performed at the Superbowl, covered the classic song ‘Beauty & the Beast’ with Ariana Grande for Disney’s live-action remake, and co-starred in La La Land.
Legend is hitting Shanghai for a major stadium show to promote his latest album, Darkness and Light, which features collaborations from Miguel and Chance the Rapper.
We're giving away a pair of tickets to see John Legend live at the Mercedes-Benz Arena.
