Jan 4: Maximus MMC
Yeti continues their streak of solid bookings at Le Baron with the China
debut of producer Maximus MMC, the label boss of Flow-Fi, a collective
of musicians dealing in cutting-edge experimental hip-hop and "nu soul."

Jan 5: Joe Nice + Rob Smith
Known
as 'America's dubstep ambassador,' Joe Nice has performed in 44
countries and has spent the last 20 years DJing with only dubplates and
turntables. Joining him on this double bill at Dada is Rob Smith aka
RSD, who deals in breakbeat hip-hop, dub and various strains of
reggae-influenced music.

Jan 5: STIR: Misloop's Return
After a stint in Berlin, DJ Misloop returns to Shanghai to resume her
regular STIR night at Elevator. STIR is a monthly night focused on dark,
driving techno, with an inclusive and open atmosphere for all types of
club-goers.

Jan 6: Drum Clap
The
sixth installment of Drum Clap, a “genre unspecific dance experience in
a dark room,” according to the organizers, features a set from Wenson
of Shanghai’s longstanding techno night VOID. Expect techno infused with
hip-hop and funk, plus a set of Afrobeat, disco, and house from Drum
Clap host Nik Hilp.

Jan 6: Medusa
Elevator's beloved, glitter-soaked pansexual dance party Medusa returns
in the new year. Head there for a cathartic night of dissolving
boundaries and making connections on the dance floor, with house,
techno, queer dance classics and more from Michael Cignarale (pictured) and Mau
Mau.

Jan 6: DJ Amadeus
Sharing the stage with the likes of Swedish House Mafia and Tiesto,
Ukrainian-born DJ Dennis Ivanoff – better known by his stage name DJ
Amadeus – is a notable house and progressive house DJ based in New York.
