Uno, dos, tres Taco Bells!
That's right, the Taco Bell Shanghai expansion we told you about a few months back is finally happening, with the recent opening of not one, but TWO new branches west of the Huangpu.
The nuevo Taco Bell in Jing'an is now open for business at Fengsheng Li near Taikoo Hui Mall, just a few doors down from Hard Rock Cafe, White Castle and Goose Island Brewhouse.
We got a sneak peek of the new Jing'an digs last night. The latest branch is even fancier than the OG Pudong location, with special extra features including a mini bar at the front with three beers on draft (Goose IPA, Stella Artois and Asahi)...
... and outdoor seating, which we imagine will fill up once the weather gets warmer.
This definitely ain't your average Taco Bell.
And if you ever find yourself getting the late night munchies for Mexican-themed American fast food, the Jing'an branch will stay open until midnight on Fridays and Saturdays; otherwise doors close at 11pm during the rest of the week.
Oh, and with every you order you place at the Fengsheng Li branch until January 7, they'll add on a free taco with your filling of choice (chicken or beef).
Meanwhile, another Puxi location opened late last month in Wujiaochang (AKA Fudan University territory), at Wanda Plaza. It's open every day until 11pm.
Looks like Taco Bell's second coming is off to a pretty good start. Might more Mainland branches be in store for the future? Stay tuned.
