China Sports Promotions (CSP) debuted its first Brawl on the Bund White Party at the brand new W Shanghai – The Bund on Saturday, December 2.
Funds raised this year went towards More Than Aware, a Shanghai-based support club empowering women to be proactive with their health and wellbeing in the prevention and recovery of breast cancer. Money was raised through a live auction and raffle held during the event with proceeds being donated to the charity.
“I haven’t stepped in the ring for an actual fight in front of so many people for eight years, and this is a really good chance for me to challenge myself again!” said Benis.
Along with the match-ups, guests voted in the first ever CSP Ring Girl competition. Out of the final 10 participants — who were selected following two months of online and offline competitions — the top three winners were selected by the guests using real-time online voting at the event. The top three were awarded RMB 20,000, RMB 10,000 and RMB 5,000 in cash and exclusive WCBI Ring Girl contracts.
Throughout the night, CSP hosted other white parties at various venues along the Bund. A portion of those party entry fees also went to More Than Aware.
