Nov 22: Liveroom with Ecke Gong

The latest installment of this intimate live music night is curated by Arcade co-founder Ecke Gong. Expect a line-up of light, jazzy performances with the casual atmosphere of a living room jam session. Liveroom will be held at a brand-new event space in the middle of Jing'an Park, and the cover price includes a Jameson drink or a Song beer.

Nov 24: John 5 and the Creatures

John 5 is a renowned metal guitarist who played in Marilyn Mansion’s band before joining up with Rob Zombie, who he still plays guitar for today. He’s worked with everyone from Lynyrd Skynyrd to Ozzy Osbourne, and has also had a successful solo career. He’s visiting Shanghai as part of the tour for his 8th solo album, Season of the Witch, which dropped earlier this year.

Nov 24: Fazi

Xi'an-based rockers Fazi (formerly known as The Fuzz) pass through Yuyintang for the album release show of their acclaimed new album from Maybe Mars, a collection of dreamy, meditative surf rock songs called Heart of Desire. A solid support line-up comes in the form of Shanghai bands Lao Ayi and Foster Parents.

Nov 25: Bolt69

201711/bolt69.jpgRussian melodic hardcore punk band Bolt69 make their mainland debut as headliners for this excellent free punk and hardcore show at Harley’s. Joining them on the line-up are brutal Beijing fastcore band Struggle Session, Shanghai hardcore stalwarts Spill Your Guts, and top-notch new riot grrrl punk band Ugly Girls.

Nov 26: Sofia Jannok

Sofia Jannok is a singer of Sami descent, a group of indigenous Finno-Ugric people that inhabit Arctic regions in Scandinavia. Her music blends traditional Sami vocals and instrumentation with pop and EDM, and she's a vocal activist for feminism, racial equality and environmental conservation. Catch her return to China at Mao Livehouse.
