Nov 3: Asian Vibes Sixth Anniversary
Local
techno crew Asian Vibes celebrates their sixth anniversary at Arkham.
The headliner of the night is Scalameriya, who deals in industrial
techno combined with dubstep, drum n bass and breakbeat and bass music.
Joining him is former Asian Vibes resident Nakazawa, who is returning to
Shanghai after a 3-year absence. A limited number of sixth anniversary
t-shirts will be on offer as well.

Nov 3: Mechatok
Splitting his time between London and Stockholm, gifted young producer
Mechatok is a classically trained musician who deals in
emotionally-driven club tracks that waver between the melancholic and the
incendiary. Support at this live audio-visual show from Wooozy includes
DJs Ikke, Khemist, Sleepless and Swimful, plus trippy visuals from Kim Laughton.

Nov 3: Francis Inferno Orchestra
One of the most notable DJs to emerge from Melbourne’s underground dance scene, Francis Inferno Orchestra focuses on off-kilter house music that nods to the genre’s rich history while staying relevant. China Social Club bring him to C’s, and will be turning the basement bar into a ‘dark and smoky underground rave’ for the occasion. Entry fee includes a drink.

Nov 3: I Love the 80s
UNICO brings back their popular 80s theme party, complete with timeless tunes from George Michael, Michael Jackson, Boy George, Madonna and more. Dress code is Super Mario Bros t-shirts, fluorescent clothes, teased hair and so on. Free before 12.30am if you RSVP to events@mvpshanghai.com.

Nov 3: The Yellowheads
Local party crew Techno Train brings over The Yellowheads, a tech-house duo who've released on notable labels like Toolroom and Tronic. They’re known for both their energetic sets and the exceptionally creepy yellow masks they wear when performing.

[CANCELED] Nov 4: The Pearl 4th Anniversary
[Ed. note: this event has been canceled. More info here.] Shanghai’s
most spectacular cabaret and theatre celebrates its fourth anniversary
in style with a line-up of its best performers. Expect a top-notch
variety show of song, dance, drag and cabaret from Frank Bray and the
Pearl Jazz Band, Kseniya Penner, Mandy Embers, Lulu Galore and lots
more. Reservations highly recommended.

Nov 4: Henrik Bergqvist
Stockholm’s Henrik Bergqvist is known as one of north Europe’s best house DJs thanks to his mix of percussive and ambient, murky and sparkling, laid back and aggressive sounds in his sets. Beijing’s ByeByeDisco brings him to Shanghai for a performance at Elevator with Pei and Nicolai Zellmani in support.

Nov 4: Ganz
Just a week after their epic Freak Out Halloween Rave, SHFT returns with up-and-coming producer Ganz, who has over 20 millions listens on Spotify. He dropped GAO, his latest EP of emotionally-driven future bass bangers, this past September and is making his Shanghai debut at Arkham.

Nov 4: Hyph11e Vanishing Cinema Album Release
Shanghai producer and member of Genome collective Hyph11e releases her debut album, Vanishing Cinema,
on local label SVBKVLT. Expect harsh and innovative industrial sounds
at the release party, with sets by Osheyack, Howell and Charity and
visuals by Wang Newone. Cover price includes digital copy of the album.

Nov 5: Baikal
Named
after a lake in Siberia that is the deepest and oldest in the world,
this mysterious Dutch producer based in Berlin deals in introspective
house and techno. Beijing promoters dART bring him to Shanghai for his
China debut at Elevator.
